The walkway up to the Destrehan Plantation.

The bayou is home to numerous fun and exciting things to see and do. From watching the crocodiles on a swamp tour or visiting the Destrehan Plantation to learn some local Louisiana history, you are in for an exciting day.

Come See the Gators at Cajun Pride Swamp Tours

This is definitely a family outing that will be remembered forever. A mere 25 miles from New Orleans, Cajun Pride Swamp Tours is a privately owned refuge offering tours filled with plenty of wildlife and animals. Many other swamp tours are done on public land where other visitors and boats can cause the animals to go hide, but not here.

We assure you that your visit here will be worth it. Our Cajun Captains are all local from the South Louisiana Bayous. With humor and accents, they will take you back to the early days of swamp explorations and Louisiana bayou, thanks to the American Alligator, extensive wildlife, and the original beauty of the moss-draped cypress trees.

Experience up close the sweet smell of our wild hibiscus rose, marshmallow plants, the unique underwater swamp life, and the special history of the Manchac Swamp within the Cajun town of Frenier.

Tours are done seven days a week and cater to both locals and vacationers with a swamp tour, a plantation tour, and a combination tour. Their swamp tours are by far the most popular and provide a one-of-a-kind experience. Bonus, receive a discount by booking online!
